The Perfect Biz Finder was created by Steve Little. Steve has had success as an Entrepreneur with several businesses, as well as with venture backed technology companies as an executive.
There’s basically two parts to the perfect biz finder. When you first get to the site you can take the free survey or assessment to find your strengths. The assessment results you get back are very basic and may be confusing to some, but may still be helpful for you. I think what will help you more is the course manual. The 2nd part is the course manual with optional audio course designed to help you find your perfect business in 21 days or less.
My results from the perfect biz finder assessment are above. As you can see I probably shouldn’t focus on anything related to these fields:
- Administrative
- Medical
- Production
- Technical
These may be obvious to most people, right..! Maybe not…
What I did was focus on my top 5 results :
- Entrepreneur
- Sales
- Manager
- Training
- Counseling
For each section you’ll see a Performance Competency. I carefully went through all the information and took notes on what struck me or something that stood out. Steve could definitely make the results section where all the text is blue and bunched together better so its easier to read, but again the course will be more helpful.
After you go through each Performance Competency and have taken some notes, you can start going through the course to find your perfect biz.
This course manual is roughly 200 + pages covering 20 exercises for you to do. Basically a series of self-discovery exercises that have been compiled from various books like The Science of Getting Rich, Attractor Factor, Lateral Thinking, The Success Principles, Steve Little’s personal experiences and more…
Here are the 20 exercises in The Perfect Biz Finder Course:
- Define what Success means to you for every area of your life
- Discover you life purpose
- Get clear on your WHY – How will your perfect business serve your purpose…?
- What you love to do from your past
- Likes Dislikes
- Strengths and Weaknesses
- Find your sub-conscious limiting beliefs
- Clearing techniques for you sub-conscious
- Release your inner genius with Creativity Exercises
- Take a basic Career Choice Assessment
- Setting clear and effective Intentions
- 6 Attributes of Being Entrepreneurial Assessment
- Growth Maven or Lifestyle Guru
- Which Business Models Appeals To You The Most
- Identify From A Long List What Potential Business Ideas Stand Out
- Dollars and Sense Of Your Business
- Determining Your Product or Service And Looking At Your Potential Market

- Zoom In On Your Relevant Business Ideas

What You Need To Know If You Decide To Buy The Perfect Biz Finder Course
Steve mentions to do one section each day. I found this nearly impossible to do. Some of the exercises don’t require as much thought as others. While its good to use thought and reflection for some exercises its not needed for every section. This course won’t take you 21 days to go through. More like 10 days if you do 2 sections at a time.
The whole process of finding your strengths and passion is all about self realization and self-discovery which requires deep thinking, and that’s what most of the exercises in the course focus on.
While the course may only take you roughly 10-15 days, your process of self-discovery may take longer for finding your perfect business for “You”.
What I liked about The Perfect Biz Finder Course
Steve is very knowledgeable and is actually an Entrepreneur. So I appreciate the fact he’s not just a researcher putting theories together. He’s someone who started as an Entrepreneur, then went into the Corporate world, and didn’t have real fulfillment in life and made the connection on what REAL SUCCESS is. That’s what I think most people will get out of this course. Everyone needs to find their own fulfillment. If their not happy with life and how their making money, change it.
There are lots of great quotes in the course that I haven’t read before that make you think. I love great quotes.
As a bonus you get a free 30 days in The Perfect Biz Builder monthly membership site. What I found useful were the audios where Steve does guru interviews. My favorites were Eben Pagan Interivew, and the Dave Greenwalt Interview. There are also other great interviews. I liked the questions Steve asked as it drew more insight from the person being interviewed.
What I didn’t like about the Perfect Biz Finder Course
1. Some of the exercises or sections don’t really need to be in the course. But they may prove helpful to others.
The “specific” Life Purpose Exercise didn’t make much sense to me. There are several life purpose exercises but this one just didn’t do it for me. Steve Pavlina has like 3 life purpose exercises. 1 is kind of weird and the other 2 actually make sense and are exercises I actually get something out of.
2. The section on helping you find your strengths doesn’t link to any other strengths resources. To help you find your strengths look at these 3 other self assessment tests I’ve taken. If your an Entrepreneur I think the most helpful is Wealth Dynamics.
3. The Section 11 part On Personality didn’t really help much. The brief test in the course may be limited in scope to what is actually covered in the main test, Theory of Career Choice at CareerKey.org. I haven’t taken this career key test mainly because it has career in the website name and in the test. I associate career with job. If anyone has taken this and gotten benefit from it please let us know.
I actually took the Kolbe MO Index which gives you jobs that fit with your Kolbe A Index test. To get your Kolbe MO Index you have to have taken the Kolbe A Index. So, if your looking for a new career I would take the Kolbe A Index, then the Kolbe MO Index and compare it with the results you would get taking the Career Key test.
4. In the business ideas Section 16 – Short List, there could have been more entrepreneurial business ideas.
5. I think the whole course could be understood better by organizing it in two parts, 1 for finding your perfect biz, 2nd section for all the sub-conscious, creativity and other ideas that don’t pertain to finding your perfect biz.
Did I Find My Perfect Biz
I don’t think I have a perfect biz, heres why. From taking other self assessment tests my strengths are getting businesses started, then getting out of the way. I’m the creator type. However, there are certain businesses and industries I’m more apt to be in which all come back to my passions and interests.
Its also important to point out, while I may start creating a new business every couple of years or so and then have someone manage it, I’m not focusing on operating multiple businesses at the same time. I’m focused on getting that one business up as quick as possible so I can get on to my other ideas and form a business around it. It’s how Richard Branson operates. I learned this from taking the Wealth Dynamics Profile test.
What the perfect biz finder course did for me is give me new insights from some of the exercises. Each exercise will probably have different effects based on who you are. Some might not make sense to me, while for you its exactly what you were looking for. Who knew…!
I think the real key here is after you have actually went through the whole course and you’ve connected the dots you need to make a DECISION.
Your most likely going to have 2-5 business ideas your interested in. The key is to write all your opportunities out and then rate each one based on your level of passions and purpose. Barbara Sher, who wrote, Live the Life You Love has some excellent exercises on finding out which idea is the best for you.
The perfect business could be right in front of us but if we have beliefs or inner conflicts that we can’t accomplish it, we’ll get frustrated and won’t ever find that perfect biz because of that belief or inner conflict. So you might have to change some beliefs in order to find that perfect biz. There are some good sections in the perfect biz finder course that assist with that.
If you find yourself unable to make a decision within 10 days after finishing the perfect biz finder course manual you should ask yourself this one question.
Why am I afraid to take action…?
Maybe the course didn’t offer you what you were looking for… If not I would suggest to read a couple of these books below and then make a decision.
Books To Read On How To Profit From Your Passion
The key thing in finding the perfect business is to know what the heck we really want. Do you know what you want? If you don’t you won’t be able to find that perfect business. These books can be additional help to the perfect biz finder course and help you find out what you really want.
